Her brand new book, just published in 1997. One of the more comprehensive books available on the breed. Covers information on the history of the breed, selecting a puppy, diet and nutrition, grooming, training, activities, breeding and showing. Has an interesting section where a British, a German and an American judge make a pictorial critique of six different dogs. Full of beautiful pictures. Photos on training and grooming are especially helpful.

Yellowdog

by Debra Marlin

Debra Marlin has been photographing golden retrievers for 11 years, documenting their romps and rambles along the byways and sun-dappled beaches of Martha's Vineyard. Now, Marlin has expanded her original, self-published collection of these photos into a volume with more photos and a compelling text--one of the most evocative dog books in recent years. 50 photos.
