Tess

Tess, formerly known as Venus, was in the Athens, GA shelter. Those who met her described her as a total love bug, but as happens so often, "Georgia Black Dogs" are totally overlooked by adopters, and Tess was just one more who was on her last day in the shelter. When the calls came to please save her, Peppertree Rescue agreed to take her, if she could be pulled, boarded and transported. Arrangements were made by the Goldstock Fund, and here's the update from Tess's very happy family!

Hello Peppertree People:

Just wanted to update you on Tess (formerly Venus). We adopted her almost a month ago at the Dec. 20th clinic. Tess actually has several names: "sweet baby girl", "princess of the house", "diva", etc. That should give you some indication of how well she is doing and how much we all love her. She is just the sweetest girl. She has a wonderful personality and is tremendously smart. She is great with our son and just loves him. She is also very nice to the cat. The other day I caught the cat washing her ear!!!! As for Rogan, they have developed a wonderful bond. They play, follow each other, and miss each other when they are separated. Many of Rogan's annoying habits have also dissipated. Our biggest problem has been preventing friends and family from stealing her!!!! She has also become great friends with the other dogs in our family. My parent's rotweiller is in love with her. She is the first dog that he has really taken too since he lost his liter mate (sister) last year. We are just so thrilled with her!!!! We can't imagine that such a sweet little dog could have been destroyed without the intervention of your wonderful organization. We have been encouraging family and friends to think about adopting. My parents were actually planning to go to your clinic this weekend, but they have decided to wait until the weather turns a little warmer. I will be sure to bring Tess so every one can see her.

Thank you so much again!!!!!!
