2004 Grant Summary

2004 was a very busy year for the The Goldstock Fund. It was an amazing year and we were able to assist many dogs. This is the first year for our three new funds, GoldenMED, Sierra Fund and Helen Redlus Memorial Fund. We are grateful to those of you who have supported our efforts and those that work daily helping dogs in need.

TGF gave a total of $57,662.23 in grants to help dogs in rescue.

The following is a short summary of grants by Fund for calendar year 2004:

Transportation Grants

We continue to help rescue in the South move dogs to rescue that can place dogs coming from high kill shelters. All of these dogs went to rescue and into forever homes in the Northeast. Grants were given to Goldens and Golden hearted dogs. We provided transportation grants to 35 dogs.

Transportation Grant Total: $1,896.76

Boarding Grants

Many dogs coming from shelters needed to be boarded for kennel cough before they can go into foster homes, or rescues foster homes are full and need some time before being able to place a dog in a foster home. Grants were given to Goldens and Golden hearted dogs. We provided boarding grants for 47 dogs.

Boarding Grant Total: $26,320.00

Medical Grants

Our medical grants not only assisted Goldens but 10 other breeds and mixed breeds. Many dog rescues from high kill shelters in the South required significant medical attention to prepare them for adoption into their forever homes. Grants were given to Goldens and Golden hearted dogs. We provided medical grants for 52 dogs.

Sierra Fund

TGF fund for dogs with cancer diagnoses under the age of 5. Grants were given to 2 dogs.

Sierra Fund Grant Total: $1,450.00

GoldenMED Fund

TGF fund for Goldens in rescue with major medical needs. Grants were given to 4 dogs.

GoldenMED Grant Total: $2,000.00

Helen Redlus Memorial Fund

TGF fund for senior and special needs Goldens in rescue. Grants were given to 2 dogs.
