2003 Grant Summary

2003 was the first full calendar year for The Goldstock Fund. It was an amazing year and we were able to assist many dogs. We are grateful to those of you who have supported our efforts and those that work daily helping dogs in need.

The following is a short summary of grants for calendar year 2003

Transportation Grants

We assisted with two large transports last year that included over 70 dogs. One was from a high kill shelter in Missouri and the other was a from a high kill shelter in Georgia which was handled in three trips north. All of these dogs went to rescue and into forever homes in the Northeast. In addition we gave grants for another 22 dogs to be transported.

Transportation Grant Total: $9,214.06

Boarding Grants

Many dogs coming from shelters needed to be boarded for kennel cough before they can go into foster homes, or rescues foster homes are full and need some time before being able to place a dog in a foster home. We provided boarding grants for 35 dogs.

Medical Grants

TGF was proud to assist Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue as they took in over 20 goldens that were abused and neglected. Many of the 70 dogs pulled from the Georgia and Missouri high kill shelters required medical before they could be transported. An additional 47 other dogs received medical grants.
